In 2017, Brandon Lewis Joyner, a 20-year-old man, was charged with paralyzing David Turner, a 60-year-old man, and the trial just ended. Attorney Steven Hisker was sitting in the courtroom Tuesday and gave his opening statement on behalf of the defendant. The two sides of the story were presented strikingly differently.
