History- Defendant involved in a single car accident.  Passenger was paralyzed as a result of the accident.  Defendant had a blood alcohol level of 0.16 (more than twice the legal limit).  Defendant was previously represented by another lawyer.  Defendant believed that he was going to receive between 5 and 15 years in prison.  Defendant fired prior lawyer and hired Steve Hisker.  Steve Hisker did a thorough investigation, even took pictures of the refrigerator where the blood was stored in the evidence locker.  Steve Hisker then negotiated a favorable result.    

Result: 40 days weekend jail, 1 year house arrest and probation to follow.  July 2014.

Result:  May 22, 2014. ALL CHARGES DISMISSED.  Steve Hisker represented 2 individuals charged with lynching and filing false police report. Steve Hisker's investigation showed that the defendants were acting in defense of a woman who had been stalked by the "victim". Victim had appeared at defendants residence to speak with the female. Defendants and female asked victim to leave. Victim appeared to leave but actually went and waited down the street. When the female left the defendants residence, victim chased her vehicle and forced her off the road. Defendants heard victims truck and went to the female's aid.  Steve Hisker's investigation uncovered records of victim being placed on trespass notice and removed from the female's college campus.  This investigation was turned over to prosecutors who promptly dismissed the charges against both defendants.

Case: United States of America vs. Joe Gibson et al.

F.B.I. & U.S. Postal Inspector Allegations: Client worked at Upstate Suzuki Dealership and was indicted for wire fraud and false advertising in September, 2012.  Defense rejected plea bargains and offer for pretrial diversion and demanded trial.  The case was dismissed by the U.S. Attorney on January 16, 2014.
